Grey water from the sink is hygienically stored and used to flush the toilet. If there is not enough grey water then mains water is used to ensure 100% functional reliability. The grey water is filtered and treated to avoid a dirty looking toilet bowl and to ensure a hygienic flush. There is a diverter for when the sink may be used for washing away ‘black water’ liquids which will go directly into the waste drain.
This product concept for the W+W was created by the Roca Innovation lab. It was swiftly engineered and developed by working with the Roca design centre to fit within the Vitreous china toilet/sink designed by arcitects Gabriel & Oscar Buratti.Product Design2011 -
